The Autumn Grand Festival at Nikko Toshogu Shrine takes place every year on October 16 and 17. The highlight is the yabusame (horseback archery) on the 16th, where you can witness the impressive archers shooting targets from horseback.
On the 17th, the "Hyakumonozoroi Senjin Musha Gyoretsu" (1,200 Samurai Procession) takes place, featuring 1,200 participants in vibrant costumes parading approximately 1 kilometer from Nikko Toshogu Shrine to the Otabisho. Following this, you can experience traditional culture with beautiful performances at the Otabisho Festival.
